Cesare Bignotti (Genoa - Italy, 1981) Audio Visual Artist - Video Director & IDM/Acid Composer - Graphic Designer.

In 2000 he studied graphic design, and became a qualified image coordinator, at the same time developed a passion for electronic music, photography and video art, that evolves by means of computer. Image and music, are characterized by a unifying personal imagery, recognizable and impactful. He recently released his first short film entitled Nova Spectrum , commissioned by the European Biennial JCE - Jeune Création Européenne 2011 - Nova Spectrum won the JCE prize of European Commission 2011/2013. Since 2000, his audio-visual projects have been exposed in major international contemporary art places:

Under the moniker of Useless Idea he began to compose electronic music in the mid 90's, using a Roland drum machine and a synthesizer, recorded by a reel Fostex recorder. His sound is inspired by the first search IDM production and influenced by ambient music. In 2003 he was a finalist in the contest of electronic music, Elettrowave.

In 2006, he founded with Leonardo Barbadoro, the Electronic Music label EVES: http://www.evesmusic.it/ of which he is artistic director and graphic designer. (EVES is a creative project for audio-visual research). From 2006 to 2009 he worked at the Museum of Contemporary Art Villa Croce - Genoa, for the preparation of exhibitions, performances, and audio visual conferences on contemporary digital. In 2008, lecturer at the Festival of Science, addressing the issue of Web Art - New technologies and human-machine interaction. In 2009, a speaker at the conference on Art 2.0 darte at the Museum of Villa Croce - Genoa.

In 2010, a finalist at the Club To Club The Italian electronic music in 2061 / Explosive Turin. And always in 2010 the Museum of Contemporary Art Villa Croce - Genoa - bought a work for its permanent collection. He currently works with the electrical engineer Victor Zappi / IIT / PhD Student Advanced Robotics Department / for testing and implementation of audio visual interactive software in virtual reality.
